The story is about a girl and her mother going shopping at the supermarket. Mom, who seems to be a little tired of making dinner, asks the girl what they should buy for dinner. Thinking about what she wants to eat, the girl gives Mom advice and adds items to the cart.
You may ask your students what is in the cart before you turn to the next page, activating their prediction skills. Students will listen to and sing along with the song over and over again, easily memorizing the English phrases and vocabulary in this story. The last page of this book is a memory game using a shopping cart and items in a supermarket.
The story of this picture book uses the popular song “What’s in the Cart?†from WELCOME to Learning World PINK.
