End of the school year & Achievement Target
The first page of each Learning World coursebook has Achievement Targets. This was made to understand the learning progress not only for teachers and parents but for students too. Having achievement targets will make students responsible for their own study and giving a sense of achievement will increase their motivation. Work on the 16 targets on this page at the end of the school year. Depending on the class size but it is advised to take 3 – 4 weeks to complete.

Read out the 16 targets written on the Achievement Target page and make it clear what the year targets are.
Let children choose which targets they want to focus on first.
To achieve the #11, #12, #13 targets, encourage students to listen to the Student CD (or Student CD Audio App) at home.
- #11Â Able to recite eight chants
- #12 Able to sing three songs
- #13Â Able to say five dialogues
When all the targets are achieved at the end of the school year, fill out the Certificate of Achievement (found on the last page of the book) with the teacher’s signature.
